CutList Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CutList handles cut lists, material details, and optimized sheet layouts on iPhone.

Effective Date: May 11, 2026 | Last Updated: June 19, 2026

CutList is an iOS app for creating cut lists and turning them into optimized sheet layouts. The app is designed to work fully offline so project information can stay on your device.

Information You Enter

You may enter project names, part dimensions, quantities, material names, sheet sizes, kerf settings, grain direction preferences, notes, and layout choices. This information is used only to generate and manage cut lists and sheet layouts inside the app.

Local Storage

Your saved projects, cut lists, sheet definitions, material settings, and generated layouts are stored locally on your device. If you remove the app, this locally stored data may be deleted unless it is included in Apple-managed device backups.

Offline Operation

The core workflow for entering parts, optimizing sheet layouts, previewing results, and saving projects does not require an internet connection. We do not operate a customer account system, cloud sync service, or remote project storage service for CutList.

Exporting and Sharing

When you choose to export, print, or share a cut list or sheet layout, the selected content is passed to the iOS sharing, printing, or export option you explicitly invoke. The destination printer, app, or share target may process that information according to its own policies.

What We Do Not Sell

We do not sell your personal information. CutList is not designed around advertising profiles, third-party data brokerage, analytics tracking, or social networking features.

Permissions

  • On-device storage: used to save projects, cut lists, sheet data, and layout preferences.
  • Export, print, and share sheet: used only when you choose to export, print, or share output.
  • Apple-managed backups: controlled through your Apple account and device settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete saved projects, cut lists, and layout data from within the app. You may also remove the app from your device to delete locally stored data, subject to any Apple-managed backups you have enabled.
