FloorQuote Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FloorQuote handles project details, client information, measurements, pricing, site photos, customer signatures, and PDF quotes on iPhone and iPad.

Effective Date: September 16, 2026 | Last Updated: September 16, 2026

FloorQuote is designed as an offline-first flooring estimating and quoting tool. Its core project, measurement, pricing, approval, and PDF workflows run in a private local workspace on your device. FloorQuote does not require an account and does not operate a developer-hosted service that receives your project records.

Information You Enter or Create

You may enter or create project names, client names, phone numbers, email addresses, project addresses, site notes, room names and types, measurements, floor-plan points, material and labor rates, waste and box-coverage settings, baseboard lengths, transitions, additional charges, markup, discounts, tax, deposits, quote terms, pricing templates, contractor details, a company logo, customer names, signatures, and approval records. You may also select site photos and add categories or notes to them.

FloorQuote uses this content only to provide the local features you choose, such as organizing projects, calculating takeoffs and estimates, preparing quotes, recording customer acceptance, reporting pipeline totals, and generating PDFs. Client, site, contractor, photo, and signature fields can contain personal or confidential information; enter only what the job and quote require.

On-Device Processing and Local Storage

Projects, rooms, measurements, pricing templates, photos, signatures, approved estimate snapshots, approved PDFs, contractor information, company logo, preferences, onboarding state, and review-prompt eligibility counters are stored in FloorQuote's local application workspace or local preferences. Measurement conversion, room-area validation, material takeoff, box rounding, labor and cost calculation, signature capture, reporting, and PDF creation happen on the device.

The current FloorQuote release uses no developer account system, developer-hosted project server, CloudKit synchronization, third-party analytics SDK, or advertising SDK. We do not collect your project records through the app, sell personal information, build advertising profiles from your work, or track you across apps and websites.

Camera and LiDAR Room Scans

On supported devices, FloorQuote requests camera access only after you choose to scan a room with LiDAR. Apple's RoomPlan technology processes the scan on your device. FloorQuote saves only the floor measurements you review and apply to the room; it does not save the scan video or upload a room scan to a FloorQuote server.

LiDAR results are estimates and remain editable before saving. If room scanning is unavailable or you prefer not to grant camera access, the manual rectangle, multiple-section, L-shape, floor-plan, and custom-area measurement methods remain available.

Photos and Company Logo

FloorQuote uses Apple's system photo picker when you choose site photos or a company logo. The picker provides only the images you select rather than general access to your photo library. Selected site photos are resized and converted to a local JPEG copy for practical storage. Selected images may contain people, private property, documents, or other information visible in the image.

If a selected image is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple may need to download it to your device before the system picker can provide it to FloorQuote. That transfer is controlled by Apple and your iCloud settings, not by a FloorQuote server. Make sure you have any permission or consent required before adding a person, property, logo, or client document.

Customer Signatures and Approval

A customer can enter a name, accept the displayed scope, price, and terms, and draw a signature with a finger or Apple Pencil. FloorQuote stores the name, signature drawing, approval time, estimate snapshot, and approved PDF locally with the project. Approval locks the project until you explicitly reopen or revise it.

Signature capture is a local acceptance record. FloorQuote does not verify identity, authenticate a signer, provide a remote electronic-signature service, or independently determine whether a signature is legally enforceable for a particular transaction.

PDF Quotes, Saving, Printing, and Sharing

FloorQuote creates quote PDFs on the device. A PDF may contain contractor branding and contact details, project and client information, addresses, room measurements, pricing, site notes and photos, quote terms, customer name, signature, and approval details. Approved PDFs are retained locally as the fixed approval record.

Preview, Share PDF, Save to Files, and Print use Apple's system interfaces only after you choose the action. You select the destination, recipient, storage provider, printer, or app. Once a PDF is saved, printed, or shared outside FloorQuote, that copy is handled under the destination's terms and privacy practices. Review the document and destination before export.

App Store Ratings and Apple Services

If you choose Rate FloorQuote, or after eligible completed workflow milestones, the app may ask iOS to display Apple's standard rating interface. Eligibility counters remain in local preferences. Apple decides whether the prompt appears and handles the rating interaction under Apple's own terms. FloorQuote does not include project, client, measurement, pricing, photo, signature, or PDF data in that request.

Accounts, Purchases, and Tracking

FloorQuote version 1.0 does not require a login and has no subscriptions, in-app purchases, project-count limits, advertising, or purchase and restore flow. Its core features do not depend on an account, CRM, payment processor, accounting platform, or FloorQuote cloud service.

Backup, Retention, and Device Changes

Local records remain until you delete them in FloorQuote or remove the app. Depending on your device and Apple Account settings, iOS may include app data in an Apple-managed device or iCloud backup. FloorQuote does not operate its own backup, sync, or account-recovery service and does not guarantee that a backup will restore every record.

Before removing the app, erasing or replacing a device, or making a major device change, save important approved quotes to Files or another destination you control. An exported PDF is a portable record but cannot restore an editable FloorQuote project.

Deletion

Deleting a project deletes its local rooms, measurements, site photos, signature, approval snapshot, and stored approved PDF. Deleting a room removes that room and its local photos. Pricing templates and contractor preferences are managed separately and are not removed when you delete an unrelated project. Removing FloorQuote deletes its local app container, subject to Apple-managed backups you may have enabled.

PDFs, printed copies, or other records already saved or shared outside FloorQuote must be deleted separately from Files, cloud storage, email, messages, another app, a printer queue, a recipient's device, or any other destination where you placed them.

Data Security

Keeping records inside the app's local container reduces routine transmission, but no device or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS updated, limit access to unlocked devices, and remove confidential information that is not required. You are responsible for protecting exported PDFs and printed copies.

Children's Privacy

FloorQuote is a professional and DIY flooring estimation utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a FloorQuote account or developer-hosted project service because those services are not provided.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

FloorQuote is a measurement, takeoff, pricing, and document-preparation aid. It does not inspect a property; verify measurements, products, prices, taxes, customer identity, payment, or signature authority; create a professional certification; or provide architectural, engineering, building-code, tax, accounting, contractual, or legal advice.

You are responsible for independently verifying site dimensions, substrate conditions, material specifications, box coverage, waste, stock availability, labor scope, rates, tax treatment, terms, totals, and applicable codes or contract requirements before ordering material, beginning work, or relying on a quote. LiDAR measurements and calculations may be affected by device capability, scan conditions, inputs, rounding, and real-world conditions.

The app and its output are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JiaBao Dai and WoodCutTool are not liable for measurement or pricing errors, incorrect purchases, material shortages or waste, data loss, privacy incidents, disputed signatures, rejected quotes, payment disputes, project delay, property damage, personal injury, or any other loss or claim arising from your use of, reliance on, sharing of, or inability to access FloorQuote or its output.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when FloorQuote's features or data practices change. The revised page will show a new Last Updated date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app or store notice when required.
