Casework is designed as a local-first cabinet planning tool. Its core project, calculation, nesting, cutting-guide, and document-generation workflows run on your device. Casework does not require you to create a developer account or upload projects to a Casework cloud service.
Information You Enter or Create
You may enter or create project names, project mode, client names, job-site details, notes, cabinet types, quantities, dimensions, units, construction and joinery settings, material names, sheet sizes, thicknesses, grain settings, prices, hardware names, quantities, prices, shop name, phone number, email address, shop address, and display preferences. The app uses this information to save your projects, calculate cabinet parts, estimate material and hardware needs, prepare sheet layouts and cutting steps, and create the exports you request.
You decide what to enter. Client, job-site, shop, and contact fields are optional; avoid entering information that is not needed for your planning or exported document.
On-Device Processing and Local Storage
Casework stores saved project records in its private application-support area on your device. App preferences and the optional shop profile used for PDF letterhead are also stored locally. Part decomposition, material matching, nesting, cost calculations, cutting-sequence generation, and PDF or CSV creation are performed on the device.
The current Casework release does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not operate a developer-hosted service that receives your projects, measurements, client details, shop profile, calculation results, or export files.
Accounts, Advertising, and Tracking
Casework does not require an account, email sign-in, password, or team workspace for its core features. The app is not built around advertising profiles, third-party data brokerage, public project sharing, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your personal information.
PDF and CSV Exports
When you choose to export, Casework creates a temporary PDF or CSV file on the device. The PDF may contain the project name, client details, job-site details, notes, shop letterhead information, calculated parts, material and hardware estimates, sheet diagrams, and review notes. The CSV contains cut-list information. Review the file before sharing, especially if you entered client or business information.
The file is passed to the iOS share sheet only after you choose an export action. You then decide whether to save it to Files, print it, send it, or provide it to another app or service. Apple, the selected destination, storage provider, printer, and recipient may process or retain the file under their own terms and privacy policies. Copies outside Casework are not controlled or automatically deleted by Casework.
Permissions and Device Access
- Local app storage: used to save projects, cabinet settings, material and hardware libraries, shop profile information, and app preferences.
- File sharing, printing, or destination access: used through iOS only when you choose where to send or save an exported PDF or CSV.
- Camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, and location: the current Casework release does not request these permissions for its cabinet-planning workflow.
- Apple-managed backups: depending on your device and Apple account settings, locally stored app data may be included in an encrypted device or iCloud backup managed by Apple.
External Links and Services
Casework includes a link to Apple's standard End User License Agreement. Opening an external link leaves the app and is handled by Apple, the browser, or the destination service according to its own privacy practices. Casework does not receive the browsing information those external services may collect.
Data Retention and Deletion
Project records remain in Casework's local storage until you delete them or remove the app. You can delete individual projects from the project picker and clear optional shop-profile fields in Settings. Removing Casework from the device deletes its local app container, subject to any Apple-managed backups you have enabled.
Exported or shared files must be deleted separately from Files, email, messages, cloud storage, another app, a printer queue, a recipient's device, or any other destination where you placed them. To manage or delete an Apple backup, use your Apple account and device backup settings.
Data Security
Keeping project data in the app's local container reduces routine transmission, but no device or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS updated, limit access to unlocked devices, and review sensitive client or job-site details before exporting or sharing. You are responsible for securing copies you send to other destinations.
Children's Privacy
Casework is a woodworking and cabinet-planning utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Casework account or developer-hosted project service because those services are not provided.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Casework is a planning and estimation aid. It does not provide architectural, structural, engineering, construction-code, occupational-safety, machine-operation, contractual, financial, or legal advice. Calculations, dimensions, material utilization, costs, hardware quantities, edge-banding estimates, cutting sequences, layout diagrams, warnings, and exports depend on your inputs and on a heuristic nesting process. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, non-optimal, unsuitable for a particular method, or affected by rounding, stock defects, tool setup, joinery, hardware specifications, grain, trim, kerf, or other real-world conditions.
You are responsible for independently checking all measurements and outputs; confirming site conditions, stock, clearances, loads, joinery, hardware, machine limits, and applicable codes; and using appropriate training, guarding, workholding, dust control, personal protective equipment, and safe shop procedures. Do not purchase, cut, assemble, install, or operate machinery based solely on Casework output.
The app and its output are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JiaBao Dai and WoodCutTool are not liable for material waste, incorrect purchases, data loss, business interruption, project delay, failed assembly or installation, property damage, personal injury, or any other loss or claim arising from your use of, reliance on, sharing of, or inability to access Casework or its output.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when Casework's features or data practices change. The revised page will show a new Last Updated date. Material changes will be described through an appropriate app or store notice when required.
