Spring Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Spring handles angle inputs, saved projects, library values, settings, and exports used for crown-molding and trim planning.

Effective Date: August 17, 2026 | Last Updated: August 17, 2026

Spring is an iOS angle-planning utility. Its core workflow uses a measured wall-corner angle, a molding spring angle, and the selected corner and cut settings to calculate miter and bevel guidance. This policy covers Spring itself; services you use to share or export information are governed by their own policies.

Information You Enter or Create

You may enter or select a cut type, inside or outside corner, actual wall angle, spring angle, angle presets, library values, project details, and app settings. Spring uses these values to calculate and display angle guidance and to support the project or library workflow you choose to use.

The angle calculator does not need your name, contacts, precise location, microphone, or unrelated device content. Avoid entering personal information into project names or notes unless you need it for your own work.

On-Device Calculation and Storage

Spring's core angle calculations are performed on the device from the values you provide. When you save a project, library value, or setting, the app may store that information in its local app data so it can be shown again in the app. The developer does not need to receive a wall angle, spring angle, or project record for the calculator to produce a result.

Spring does not require an online account for the angle-calculation workflow described here. If a future version adds a feature that changes this data flow, the app's disclosures and this policy will be updated before that feature is used.

Exporting and Sharing

When you choose an export or share action, Spring passes the content you selected to the iOS system share or export interface. The destination you choose, such as Files, AirDrop, email, messaging, printing, or a cloud-storage app, may copy, retain, or process the project and angle information under its own terms. Check the destination before sharing and delete exported copies separately when they are no longer needed.

Analytics, Advertising, and Data Sales

Spring is not designed around advertising profiles or the sale of angle calculations and project data. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information that you enter into Spring. The App Store, Apple system services, or any third-party destination you explicitly use may handle information under their own policies.

Permissions and System Services

  • On-device storage: used for saved projects, library values, settings, and other app data you choose to keep.
  • Export and share sheet: used only when you explicitly export, print, or share a result.
  • Apple-managed backups: controlled by your Apple Account and device settings; a backup may include Spring's local app data.

Spring's angle workflow does not require camera, photo-library, contacts, microphone, or location access. If a later feature requests a new permission, iOS will show the permission prompt and the app will explain the feature's purpose.

Data Retention and Deletion

Saved projects, library values, and settings remain in Spring's local app data until you delete them in the app, if an in-app delete control is provided, or remove Spring from the device. Exported files, printouts, shared messages, and copies stored in another app or service must be deleted separately. Apple-managed backups may retain app data according to your backup settings.

Children's Privacy

Spring is a general-purpose home-improvement and woodworking utility and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Spring account or a Spring-operated cloud service.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Spring provides angle-planning estimates based on the inputs and assumptions you provide. It does not inspect a wall, molding profile, saw, blade, or job-site condition, and it does not replace a measurement tool, manufacturer instructions, a test cut, or professional judgment. Verify every result on site before cutting and follow applicable safety instructions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when Spring's features, permissions, storage behavior, or sharing workflow changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use of Spring after an update means the updated policy applies to the extent permitted by law.
