What it does
Keep private photos and videos out of the regular camera roll with PhotoSafe, a simple encrypted vault built for personal moments you do not want sitting in your main photo library. Use it for sensitive photos, private videos, ID scans, travel documents, family memories, screenshots, receipts, or anything you want protected behind a dedicated lock.
PhotoSafe is built around five clear promises: Offline, No Login, Privacy First, On Device, No Cloud Upload. You do not need to create a PhotoSafe account. You do not need to sign in before importing media. Your vault is designed to live on your iPhone, protected locally, without turning private pictures into a cloud library.
What PhotoSafe helps you do:
- Lock photos and videos
Import photos and videos into a private vault protected by Face ID, Touch ID, or a 6-digit PIN. The lock screen is direct and familiar, so you can open your vault quickly while keeping casual browsing away from your private media.
- Encrypt media on your device
Imported items are stored in a local encrypted vault using AES-256-GCM encryption. Each file is protected separately, and PhotoSafe works with a key derived from your PIN. The goal is simple: your private media should stay private even if someone opens your normal Photos app.
- Remove originals when you choose
When importing, PhotoSafe can help you delete the original item from the public photo library after it is saved in the vault. This keeps the workflow practical: select media, secure it, and reduce duplicate exposure in the camera roll. You stay in control of what you import and what you remove.
- Browse a clean private gallery
View your vault in a photo grid, open items full screen, pinch to zoom, play videos, delete items you no longer need, and keep favorites easy to find. PhotoSafe focuses on the everyday vault experience instead of adding confusing account screens or social features.
- Protect access attempts
Turn on Intruder Alert to capture a photo when someone tries to unlock the vault with the wrong PIN. Check the break-in log later to see when an unauthorized attempt happened. This feature is optional and stays tied to your device.
- Add privacy layers
Use a disguised app icon when you want PhotoSafe to look less obvious on the Home Screen. Use a fake PIN to open an empty decoy vault when you need a quick way to avoid exposing the real vault. These tools are made for personal privacy and peace of mind.
Why privacy matters
Photos and videos can reveal where you live, who you meet, what you buy, what you are planning, and what you care about. A private vault should not require another account, another password in the cloud, or another online profile. PhotoSafe keeps the product focused on local protection.
Offline: the main vault experience is made to work without relying on a PhotoSafe web account.
No Login: open the app and use your vault without registering or signing in.
Privacy First: the interface is built around protecting media, reducing exposure, and keeping control with you.
On Device: import, encryption, viewing, PIN protection, settings, and vault storage happen on your iPhone.
No Cloud Upload: PhotoSafe does not upload your photos, videos, vault list, PIN, or private media to a PhotoSafe cloud.
PhotoSafe is useful before handing your phone to someone, when traveling with personal documents, when separating family photos from private screenshots, when keeping work images away from the public camera roll, or when you simply want a quieter place for sensitive media.
This is not a social album, file sharing service, or cloud backup product. It is a private photo vault with a clear boundary: import what matters, lock it locally, view it when you need it, and keep private media on your device.
